This NEW Alternator is a Direct bolt-in replacement to any GM alternator with a two inch mount from 1965-1986. Works great for muscle cars or street rods.
When replacing an earlier externally regulated version (pre 74) GM alternator with the 3 or 4-wire plug-in type connection at the old voltage regulator: simply unplug this connector, as it will no longer be necessary. This new style self-exciting replacement alternator has it built inside. The only necessary connection is the main battery output wire at the back of the new alternator.
After installation be sure to check for proper function with a voltmeter.

not stranded in the Arizona heat
I have used this device for several months and it does work. My chevy tahoe would consistently get undercharging alarms when the rear A/C unit was turned on. The LCD also displayed very low voltage readings when this occured, often below 12 volts. I initially thought the problem might be a faulty diode in the alternator until I cleaned and tightened the battery cables. My battery is now properly charging, the alarms are gone. The vehicles factory volt gauge is not a precision instrument and never would have alerted me to the undercharging problem. Top to learn more

This product really works
I've have had a BatteryMole installed in my full size truck for about a year and the battery has been fine so far. I borrowed my son's compact pickup while I did some work on my truck. I decided to install the Battery Mole in the my son's truck while my truck was down. The first day the battery and charging voltages were OK but the starting seemed rather weak. The next day after the Battery Mole had time to take its measurements there was a Low Start Voltage alarm with the voltage reading of 5.99V. I took the battery to Auto Zone and it tested bad with at least one or maybe 2 bad cells. Needless to say I replaced that battery. It may take awhile for the Battery Mole to do its job, but it really does work. Top to learn more

Just paid for itself.
One morning I got a weak-start alarm. Drove to yoga anyway. Stopped by Autozone on the way home. The battery tested bad and was replaced free of charge since it was still under warranty. No towing fees, didn't get stranded. This unit just paid for itself. Top to learn more

There was not a lot of info out there about this unit, but I got a very good deal on a closeout unit here on Amazon so it was worth the gamble. In the end, I won. This is a potentially much cheaper and more built-in solution than the speakerphone units that clip to your visor, though of course not as portable.It comes with both car and home power adapters. It can be hardwired into your car, as I did, or you can attach it to your home stereo if you have an extra input. The microphone is on a long cord that can be clipped to a car visor, etc. It also has an answer/hangup button on it. The mic cord plugs into the main unit.The main unit has two RCA jacks on it, as you can see. These plug into your car or home stereo. Then, you pair your phone with the unit and you're done. I already owned a Sony bluetooth bidirectional receiver/transmitter for my home theater, and I made the mistake of thinking I could transport it to my car with the same end results. Not so.Because the Sony requires that it be turned on via tactile power button each time, I had to open my center console every time I started my car just to turn the thing on. With this Scosche it is no longer an issue.Furthermore, I was able to adjust the gain on this receiver the first time I used it, so that the volume level would be roughly equal to that of my FM radio.This unit has only 5% of the low-level background noise as the Sony, meaning I no longer hear my alternator whine into the speakers between tracks.Ironically, at home, the Sony picks up slightly less noise than the Scosche, although they are very similar.Definitely true AD2P high quality audio, and no problems maintaining multiple pairings with 3 different Nokia phones...
