Great deal - Shipping excellent!
Wow! I am both relieved and impressed. I just purchased two of these batteries. After reading previous horror stories about damaged/no packaging I have to admit I was hesitant. I have had other problems with Amazon.com in the past. I just couldn't resist the price here, and with free shipping it sealed the deal. I guess whoever does the shipping here got the message about poor/damaged packaging. Mine were both delivered undamaged by UPS(this is an extraordinary occasion), and to my surprise the boxes were designed like tanks. Extra thick cardboard boxes with an entire lining of corrugated cardboard reinforcement all the way around the battery. The batteries inside were in perfect condition!!! A+ job here by Amazon.com!!! BTW shipping was also lighting fast....I ordered on Sat and batteries arrived on Tues. Top to learn more

Optima - red - yellow - blue
I bought this because my 2004 honda pilot factory battery was on its last leg. I always have prefered optima batteries because the yellow and blue top versions can be DEEP discharged without damage. In a conventional flooded acid battery after 10 dead events you are going to the parts store because you have ruined your battery. Same goes to a lesser extent with the optima red top - they are strictly a starting battery.In my case I leave accessories on 24x7 like my escort radar detector. It's to ensure that the gps data is up to date and to keep the microwave components warm so when I leave in the early morning they are on frequency and yield accurate measurements.The yellow top is a cross between the deep cycle marine blue top and the starting red top... The only rust that is visible rests below the battery tray on the right splash shield which is common, that's it. The bed and cab have got to be in the most rot free condition out there. I bought this truck with just about 62,000 actual miles back in September 2001, and now it has 68,000 miles. Up for sale is my 1972 1/2 ton Chevrolet Cheyenne longbed truck. Now to describe the truck for sale, as stated it has a low 68,000 miles. I have some original paperwork that states the truck has spent time in Arizona, and I believe it is originally from that state. However, the truck shows and feels as if it has 68,000 miles. Recently we bought another vehicle that all four of us can enjoy, and when we feel the need to attend a car show that will be the vehicle of choice.
