I searched for the product on other automotive web sites and then found this on Amazon. It is exactly the same part as others in the store or internet. It cost less and I had it installed. I could not get the big clutch fan hub nut off the water pump. I was replacing the original which was 7 years old. If you need this part I recomend this purchase.

Good Books
I usually get Haynes Manuals for every car/pickup I get. These far surpass any other manual out there. Since I've been looking on Amazon I have always found good deals on these books. Take this one for example, I bought it used. The comment was, "it might have smudges from use". "normal wear and tear". But, you know what, looks as good as new to me, and the price was great! Most, if not all, that I have bought have been better than described. I will continue looking to Amazon first for any books I get. I've never had a bad deal with any of the sellers here!

Perfect fit, great price
The Exedy KTY03 clutch kit fit perfectly in my 2004 Matrix. Although the clutch cover appears to be a different design from the Toyota OEM part, it works very much like an OEM part (clutch pedal pressure feels comparable). Included instructions should have been clearer regarding the proper orientation of the clutch pad (I Google'd to confirm proper orientation). There were no info on the lubricant specs nor where to apply it -- I ended up using it only on the spline and using Red Line 80402 high temp synthetic grease on the fork and bearing. Very happy with this purchase.

The problem arises when the car -- which is not the driver -- attempts to execute this balancing act, too, at the exact same time as you -- the driver -- are doing it. . The resulting bumfight between driver and the Sonic's smarty-pants... When you engage the clutch from a standstill in any manual gearbox-equipped car, you -- the driver -- feed in the throttle at a rate you think will both a) avoid a nasty bog/stumble, and b) not excessively slip the clutch. After 3 years of driving an '09 Fit, the clutch/throttle relationship is still somewhat baffling to me. I never had any problems adjusting to the clutches of my '93 Escort or '01 Focus, but this one seems unpredictable at times depending on what... I suppose that's nice for people who don't know what they're doing, but it makes the clutch feel numb at times, because the rate at which it's engaging isn't always in step with what your foot is doing to the pedal (it especially feels bad when... apparently there's what essentially amounts to an idiot valve that chokes the hydraulic fluid some and keep the clutch from engaging too quickly if someone were to dump the clutch fast. Our longterm 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ's throttle calibration is going to result in premature clutch wear. My G37 6MT actually has a very slight throttle lag on tip in. Add in a very quick engagement of the clutch and it isn't hard to get a bit of jerkiness on engagement. In that time I have never had a car that had a penchant to accelerate more than I wanted it to do. This is strange, but if it were your own car, I think you could accustom yourself to it-- without burning the clutch. True, I haven't yet smelled that distinctive odor of fried clutch lining when driving the Sonic. Many people seem to think it's a clutch delay valve that is the cause of this.
