Perfect Fit - Update
The Dorman LED lamp appears to be identical in size/form to the OEM lamp. It was successfully installed in just minutes on a 2005 Tahoe Z71. The lamp came with a wiring assembly that was not needed. The OEM wiring connector fit and latched into the Dorman lamp socket.I will try to remember to update this review after one year in service.Added 1/23/12: the Dorman LED lamp is contuining to work perfectly after 11+ months in service.

Great product to replace expensive factory original
First light was broken when it arrived but it was promptly replaced. The 3rd brake light on my 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe stopped working about 1 year ago but the only alternative at that time was a factory replacement that cost almost $400. Factory originals have since come down to the $200 price range but this replacement fits perfectly and cost less than $50. While you would expect some difference in quality between a $200 part and a $50 part, it looked the same to me. Replacement is quick and easy, remove two screws, disconnect wiring harness, remove the rubber sheath and reverse steps for installation.

Works like a charm
I bought this to replace the third brake light in my GMC Yukon Denali XL that had burned out. I figured it would be hard to replace, NOT A CHANCE it was so simple I did it in 15 minutes, and that included clean up and drinking a beer. snap off one trim piece and remove 2 screws, then unplug the old one and plug the new one in and boom you are done.Sure beats the $300 the dealer wanted to replace this light.

Great for starters
If you're not planning on spending thousands of dollars to pimp your ride, and are just looking to spend a little money to spice it up a little bit, these lights are perfect!The lights are very bright, with several different modes to select from (flashing, racing, steady, etc.)The lights are NOT made for outside the car! They are in plastic tubes, so they will break if subjected to rough use. I put one under the dash on the drivers side, and one on the passenger side. With just those two it really lights up the interior. I also put one in the trunk, which looks really awesome when you turn it on.Wiring is really not hard if you know what you're doing. If you don't, just look it up online, there are a lot of guides to explain it for you.

a good buy
i have a set of these in my truck. i have the inside of the glove box plexiglassed with the control pad inside. the wires are a little on the short side, so youll have to add wire on your own to run anything more than 2-3 foot away from your pad. but the lights are really bright and for the price i would suggest these to everybody... i will have pics up reall soon.

Not so easy to install
First, the kit comes with no instructions whatsoever. Go to www.ledglow.com, click on Tech Support, and find the instructions for your particular kit.Second, the kit was designed assuming you want to connect to your fuse panel or directly to your car battery. They claim you can use your car cigarette lighter but as far as I can tell this requires a special adapter that isn't provided and is not sold anywhere on Amazon.
