Great Aftermarket Lock
I have a 2006 Sierra, and the Bully LH-003 is the perfect aftermarket lock for anyone who has a tonneau cover. Very easy installation and the instructions are straight forward. I had the "pop lock" before, and the "pop lock" is no where near as nice as the Bully. I would also recommend buying some "locktite blue," to safely secure the screw that attaches to the lock. -GW Woodstock, GA

2002 SILVERADO TAILGATE LOCK
I INSTALLED THE 2002 SILVERADO TAILGATE LOCK ON 3-9-11 AND HAD NO PROBLEMS. IT TOOK ABOUT 35 MINUTES. YOU MUST INSTALL IT WITH THE TAILGATE UP AND FROM THE EXTERIOR. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY HAVE A PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER THAT CAN HOLD THE SCREW AS YOUR OTHER ARM IS ALIGNING THE HOLE FOR IT.ONE PERSON CAN EASILY INSTALL IT.IT COMES WITH AN XTRA SCREW IN CASE YOU LOSE ONE. ALSO, COMES WITH 2 KEYS. SEEMS TO WORK AND LOCK AND OPEN VERY WELL. RICK

good value
I bought and installed this unit on my '02 Silverado back when it was new. I paid about $25 for it back then. I dont understand why GM does not install locks standard on all their pickup tailgates; Ford and Nissan puts locks on at least some of their tailgates. For that matter it's also stupid that the glovebox doesnt lock, but I digress. Installing this lock makes the tailgate look more secure and would probably give a thief a second thought. I feel a lot better knowing that the little plastic overhang of the cap door is not the only thing protecting my stuff in the bed, or for that matter keeping someone from walking off with the tailgate itself - which comes out in the blink of an eye on every pickup I've had since '90. The lock was easy to install, took about 30 minutes. Now that I am familiar with it, it would probably take me about 10 minutes to install one. It is now 8 years old, but the tumbler has rusted into uselessness and I am going...
