Better than expected
I was a little nervous when I read a few reviews before I bought the stepper motors, a couple mentioned that they had been shipped in a padded envelope and had sustained some damage in transit. Mine arrived wrapped in bubble wrap inside a sturdy box - no problem! Instalation was fairly straight forward and everything worked fine.

03 GMC Yukon Speedometer stepper motor
This part did the trick. The hardest part was not unsoldering and resoldering it into the circuit board, the hardest part was removing all the gauge needles, to get access to the back of the circuit board. I figured out the trick to do this without damaging the instrument panel surface or the needles. Stick shirt cardboard thick pieces of cardboard under the needle on both sides, to protect the surface under the needles. Then use a kitchen dinner fork to work in slowly and WEDGE lift the needle off it's shaft. Do not PRY with the fork, and go very slowly. It will suddenly pop when enough vertical wedge force is achieved. I'd estimate it takes about 20 lbs of force. You can get detailed instructions with a search on YouTube for the whole repair, the rest of which is easy.This was a great bargain, ~$6 plus shipping for an auto repair that is costing hundreds of dollars at the dealers. It is working perfectly now.

Was skeptical
I have reviewed and pondered buying this for years as my speedometer would not work correctly in my isuzu ascender, i finally bought this motor and wow very easy to install and works perfectly, was spot on with gps speed.one tip mark your old gauges needles with a mark on masking tape on speedometer face to set up calibration for new motors. Awesome deal!

Awsome!!
Much better than buying a new gauge cluster, and much, much less expensive. If you can operate a soldering iron you can do this yourself. Great replacment over the faulty factory GM ones. My total time with disassembly, install, and reassembly was about 1hour & 15min.
