Great Filter!
I bought this filter for use with a replacement pan from Doorman. The difference between ACDELCO and other aftermarket transmission filters are all in the seal and gasket. If your not replacing the filter seal with the new seal you can go with just about any other tranny filter and the quality will be just as good as the ACDECLO. If you want to replace the filter seal or not worry about purchasing a quality gasket with another aftermarket kit, get the ACDELCO.With proper maintencance a stock filter seal really does not need to be replaced. I just took one out that was 9 years old and it was just fine.

Good price on an OEM item
Purchased this for a 2002 Cadillac Escalade. No issues after the first 3000 miles. It is an OEM piece that gave my mechanic no problems to install. It was priced right through Amazon and saved me a trip to the auto parts store.

Good product for a good price.....
I like to go with OEM parts when I can and if the price is not way out of line. From my experience OEM parts seem to fit better and are easier to install than a lot of aftermarket parts, although not all.This filter came with a better gasket than the Wix (a brand I trust) filter from my local auto parts. The price difference was a bit more but, for the better gasket it was worth it to me and Amazon had it for a good price.It was packaged very well from ACDelco. The gasket was sealed flat instead of folded in a box like a lot of others.

Good filter
First of all this kit includes the same crappy rubber pan gasket that most all transmission filter kits include but my Grand Am has a nice reusable steel reinforce gasket so I had no need for it. But the filter itself is good quality like all other WIX parts and is the reason I bought this kit.

Looks like a good spongy filter, but avoid the gasket.
It's a filter. Okay. Nothing too fancy. But what ever you do, don't mess with the gasket. If your ATF pan gasket is still in good shape, don't peel it off. The included filter has all the structural integrity and strength of a tapeworm. It is an amazing hassle to get the gasket to seat and stay in place. Now, a tube to RTV would have helped and in fact you will need a tube of RTV to do the ATF swap anyway. Dab a little RTV on the pan after you've cleaned it and also dab RTV on the bolts holding your tranny fluid pan.And while we're on the subject, I can promise you that this is not the job for someone who likes to be clean. If you have issues with dirty floors or hands, don't ever do a fluid change on your car. I am kind of leaning towards the "I don't like gross stuff" spectrum and this was a bit much. The mess. Oh my, what a mess.But what's done is done.

Perfect for just the filter
All I wanted was the filter. Great price for that.The filter looked and fit on par with the OEM removed unit.I did not use the included pan gasket or filter seal.The pan gasket in this kit is of much lesser quality than the OEM. Might get you on the road in a pinch but not sure if it will stay leak free in the long term and this trans-axle does not have a traditional dipstick to check the level.Note: The OEM pan gasket is a reusable metal / silicone unit costing about $50 from the dealer.

It's Cheap.
I bought a second hand 2000 oldsmobile Intrigue GX. I want to replace the transmission filter follow the manual's recommendation. I went to some local shop, the filter kit is very expensive. Filter and gasket have the same price. But this kit which includes the filter and the gasket costs less than the filter in my local stores. I gave this kit to my dealer to let them install it for me. After replacement, the accelerate is better than before. I think it is worth the price.

You sent the wrong filter.I had previously recieved a filter from Amazon that was wrong and to correct that you sent me a filter for a BMW of which I don`t even own.I have a Dodge Ram Van.Now the problem is time has expired on the return and you ,amazon and Wix have my money. All i have is more trash to through.I counted on you to send the right filter and didn`t even check untill this week when I was doing the fluid change .Held me up too.Here i have the truck up on ramps start to drain the fluid and take down the old filter and saw that they are different.Thats when i ran the numbers and found its for a BMW Great. .Good thing there is an Auto Zone 12 mi. away .And I have a car too.You got to watch what you are doing.

Great filter
This is as close as you can get to OEM quality and it surpasses OEM in my view and costs about half as much as the rip off Honda/Acura dealers. Made in the USA and not some cheap cardboard cap like FRAM. Good filter and good price as usual from Amazon.

Good filter for half the OEM $$
I think the Wix filter is as good as the OEM replacement filter for half the price. I have had no problems with this type of filter although I do think the Wix motorcycle version could be a little more competitive for the price. I have done a lot of research on filters and think that the Wix and Purolator filters are very good for the price in comparison to OEM. I would need to buy a case of the Honda filters to get the same price break. There are filter comparisons on the North Texas Prelude Owners Group . org website that has filters cut apart to show you their contents and construction.
