dorman makes good products. unfortunately this unit is bare bones and you must reuse many of the old parts off the old unit. unfortunately for me my situation required a different part of the motor assembly be replaced.

I WISH IT'S NOT A PLASTIC..
decent shipping time, had no prob to install it, but since it was made from plastic, i'm worry it's not gonna last for long and crack like the old one, i had to install it extra carefully. I wish they make it from metal, I guess they made it that way so people keep buying spare part after certain time ). and it doesn't comes with screw & bolt, so that's an extra.. all and all, it's a good buy, less than others

Good price for a hard-to-find part
I ordered this pulldown for my Allante which uses two of them: one for the top pulldown and one for the trunk lid pulldown. The top pulldown requires a minor modification in the addition of a small bracket from your original unit, but is much less expensive than any other souce I could find.Buy an extra for your Allante to keep on the shelf to replace one of the two units that are bound to eventually break!

In companies this size, you wouldn’t think it was a terribly complicated thing to duplicate an assembly line from Europe, Asia or Australia and pump out cheaper local versions of those cars (rather that dearer imported ones) if there was a market... While the Aussie Dollar is strong against the US Dollar I don’t think the PPV is going to sell in any significant numbers. The Falcon is not only as a V8 but also a 6 Cylinder NA and 6 Cylinder Turbo which is Euro IV Compliant.
