Awesome light weight rack for the price
I did a whole lot of research before purchasing a roof rack for my '95 ZJ. This rack fits the bill in every way, it looks awesome, is light, made of corrosion resistant aluminium, and has more accessory mounts than you can shake a stick at. Installation is a breeze. Not pictured are the 48" crossbars that came with the kit I purchased. My only gripe is that this was not communicated and i bought another set. Top to learn more

I have owned this for about 3 weeks and I am very happy with it. I have a toyota sienna 2001 with factory roof rack. Great Rack, Great Price, and Made in the USA
I bought this rack for my 1986 Jeep Cherokee to move the spare out of the back window. I loved the look of it and that it cost almost half as much as most other baskets I looked at. It was sturdy, well made, easy to assemble and good looking. Also I got to support and American company with American workers, which was a plus in my eyes. Simplicity is a virtue
These rack towers are such a no-brainer that a blind person could mount them by touch. (I hope I did not offend anyone--just making a point.) Some rigs have very wide rails, in particular a two-year model of Forester and of course, the cool looking but inadequate rails on the Xterra. You must consult Thule's Fit Guide. The knob/lock/tightening tool is pure genius. Like all manufacturers, Thule has some hits and some very few misses, but this set-up is a home run. Highly recommended. Just consult their Fit Guide and you'll be racked up in no time.

Rooftop Carrier made in the USA
I like WeatherTech products, so when I saw this one, I decided to buy it, and stop searching all the other choices. I like the WeatherTech Company, and they have a REP for perfect products!After a trip from Ohio to South Florida and back, I felt I knew enough about it to review it and give some general info. So this is based on ONE long trip in the rain... (I am a retired truck driver, so have some knowledge in this area)First, it's well made, it has it's own storage bag that yes, it really will fit back into!Got the usual great Amazon service! Fast delivery, no damage, and lowest price I could find!Soft or Hard - which to choose?Here's my thinking on the subject: Hard is better, but much more expensive, and takes much more room to store when not in use. excellent product
I purchased this for my SUV for an 8 hour trip at Xmas. The extra space was wonderful. We traveled in 6 degree weather and the bag did not split or crack. It was easy to install. The zippers were smooth to close and the straps held the bag very secure to the roof rack.I decided to purchase this particular carrier based on the reviews from Amazon customers, and the price was a good deal. I do not have the space for a hard sided carrier. This folds up nice and stores in a drawstring bag!This is the first review I have posted on a purchased product, I highly recommend it. About Thule To say that Thule’s beginnings in the U.S. were humble would be an understatement. Founding member Ake Skeppner sold products at windsurf competitions on the New England shoreline, exhibited the product line at a number of different trade shows, and even canvassed local retailers in the greater New York area, all from his "office"--a now-famous station wagon. Initial success was found in the small but growing sport of windsurfing where a strong, reliable roof rack was an indispensable piece of equipment. This was quickly followed by success in the ski business where Thule's Swedish heritage certainly helped the product gain rapid acceptance.
By the mid-1980s, the company sold products directly to ski and windsurfing shops but sold through distributors to address the large and growing bike business. A risky decision was made to terminate these distributor relationships and sell direct to retailers through a network of independent sales representatives. Much of the company's market success today can be traced to that decision. Shortly after, Ake hired an engineer and set up a small assembly plant in Elmsford, New York in order to design and manufacture bike carriers that would offer the features demanded by the U.S. consumer and compete effectively with other racks on the market.
The company has since grown rapidly through product innovation, a commitment to quality, and the continuance of a strong entrepreneurial spirit as well as continuing to evolve their products to meet the needs of users.
Bars great; picture of product slightly misleading
This is a pretty straightforward purchase: two Thule-brand bars of dimension 1.25" x 0.75" -- exactly what I needed to replace my old (ancient!) Terzo-brand bars that finally rusted out and gave way. Only 3 stars are awarded as I found the picture misleading: the end caps are NOT included, I'll have to buy these separately now. Had I known (or read the written description which omits mention of the caps) I would have sprung the extra $5 to get the caps included in my free shipping. Top to learn more
Work great, but attachments can damage skin and end caps are NOT included
These bars work really well, but there are two things to know:1) the end caps are pictured, but are NOT included with these. The end caps come with the foot pack or can be purchased separately2) when you attach things like Thule bike racks or ski attachments, the plastic skin can become cut by tightening the attachments to the bar. This can lead to rust and failure over the very long term. They should have used a tiny bit tougher plastic skin.Be sure to use the end caps or they will rust from the inside out. Top to learn more
